A Look at the Training Process...
The facilitator training process involves:
- attending 4-day Pathways to Leadership® program as a participant
- studying and digesting a manual + training video
- attending 2 classroom training days in Denver
- videotaping concept practice at home and telephone/onsite review
- facilitating and videotaping our 4-day program for a nonprofit group
- review of the video and coaching sessions in our Denver office
The facilitator training process is very rigorous because we want each facilitator to work with us for years to come. Our office supports facilitator-client relationships with letters, joint phone calls, and coordination with the account manager. Even though they are independent contractors, we consider our facilitators to be part of our corporate family. Facilitator coaching and training is ongoing, including attending annual facilitator conferences in Denver.
Responsibilities of Facilitating the Pathways to Leadership Program
Facilitating the program involves 4 days of onsite work with 20 participants, followed by 12-week integration period where the facilitator would be in email and phone contact several times with participants. Then a 2-day onsite mastery program takes place, followed by several more phone calls and emails. We also have some shorter programs and once a facilitator is trained for the flagship program s/he can facilitate them. All programs are booked through our office.
