Pathways to Leadership®

"Results-Oriented" Graduate Programs

We offer a variety of short, one and two day "results-oriented" programs for teams who have completed the Pathways to Leadership process. Some of the topics include:

Developing the Influential (New) Leader

Format - One or Two Days: (Recommended companion to Your Organization's Defining Moment: Powerfully Effective Meetings.) Everyone knows that proficiency in a business skill does not necessarily equate to a proficiency in being able to lead others in an effective manner. This Results Workshop is geared for those individuals who have been elevated to a position where they are responsible for others. These 'new' leaders, whom the company is hanging their hat on, are influential beyond measure; they are responsible for developing future leaders, the culture, products and clients.

With a focus on the Big 5 of the New Leader's Job, participants expand on and learn new Pathways to Leadership tools that assist them with: building individuals with greater self-discipline, establishing a solutions-oriented workplace, developing clear channels of communication, creating ownership of shared objectives, and developing a healthy team identity. Meeting dynamics are also addressed, however it is recommended that participants attend the companion program, Your Organization's Defining Moment: Powerfully Effective Meetings, for the opportunity to maximize and leverage each meeting for greater results.

Your Organization's Defining Moment: Powerfully Effective Meetings

Format - One Day: (Recommended companion to Developing the Influential Leader.) An organization's success - or lack of it - can always be traced (in countless ways) to events that take place during meetings; hence, there is no greater defining moment for your organization. The costs to an organization are staggering when participants attend meetings unengaged, resentful, defensive, or uncommitted, and leave uninspired or lacking direction. (When participants leave a meeting in such a state, they infect countless others with resource draining attitudes.)

In this one-day program participants hone the skill of not only leading individuals in both one-on-one and group formats, but also gain strategies to influence energy, ideas, follow-through and accountability that drive results. Savvy leaders know that conducting a powerful meeting is not limited to actions made during the meeting, but also include strategies accomplished prior to the interaction as well as after. Founded on core Pathways to Leadership tools and concepts as well as new tools, participants learn and practice these methods during the workshop.

Partnerships, Collaboration and Alignment in Interdepartmental Teams

Format -One or Two Days: It's no secret: a team that works together generates better business results. But just wanting to work together doesn't mean people will be able to. This training explores Pathways to Leadership tools allowing participants to generate a workable vision, one that creates greater teamwork, communication, trust, and business results.

In addition to the "Pathways Truths," a customized version of the Recipe for Partnership and the Pathways Vision Process are used to accomplish desired results. Participants are encouraged to bring specific situations where they'd like to build greater partnerships, enhanced collaboration and finer alignment interdepartmentally.

Effective Supplier and Vendor Relationships

Format - One or Two Days: Top performing organizations know that their team is not only comprised of the individuals under their roof, but everyone who interacts with the people under that roof. A car can't go anywhere without wheels! Who does your organization rely on in order to get business done? What difference will it make when greater partnerships, enhanced collaboration and finer alignment is accomplished with suppliers and vendors?

Customized versions of the Recipe for Partnership and the Pathways Vision Process, along with the "Pathways Truths" are employed to accomplish desired results. When greater communication and trust is established with these key parties, organizations immediately become more efficient, conserve resources and increase job satisfaction. Participants are encouraged to bring specific situations where they'd like to build greater relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Pathways Decision Making Process

Format - One Day: The 'big' decisions senior leaders make through the course of business attract a lot of attention. The results are typically immediately recognizable and usually influence the bottom line. But what about the smaller decisions made by each employee countless times each day? While senior leaders determine the direction of business, the ability to navigate through the business day is determined by the quality of the decision-making accomplished by everyone.

T

eam members make better decisions and interact with one another in a more efficient manner when they've been provided with methods and tools to accomplish such. (Tools used: "Pathways Truths," Pathways Decision Making Process, Magic Moment, High Road/Low Road.) The facilitator of this workshop will work closely with participants to discover ways better decisions can be made - decisions that serve everyone, long term. Once these methods have been practiced, participants work to create a replicable approach in other areas that sound decision-making is necessary. The result: an organization that is proficient in navigating change and accomplishing better business results in less time.

Developing a Change Ready Organization

Format - One or Two Days: Measuring an organization's ability to create and adapt to change is like measuring the health of an organization. If a company is less than proficient in this area, they can count on falling behind their competition, and ultimately risk their survival. Change doesn't have to be a slow process; when the ingredients of clear communication, trust, clear objectives, and guidelines are present, change does not have to be pursued. Rather, it happens naturally; it is an organic function of the way people conduct business.

In this workshop, the 3 Conditions that Support Change and the Big R, along with the "Pathways Truths" are used to establish a "way of doing things" that serves the company today and beyond. In addition, leaders become more proficient at generating greater ownership of projects, processes and initiatives in those they lead.

Pathways to Leadership Revisited

Format - One or Two Days: The Pathways to Leadership process continues to evolve at an astonishing rate. Each year the program undergoes upgrades that allow Pathways to Leadership, Inc. to serve their partners in the best way possible. This powerful "Revisited" session allows Pathways to Leadership graduates to reacquaint themselves with the tools and concepts, and learn of new methodologies, approaches, and sustainability processes. This renewal is often necessary so they are best able to support the most recent Pathways to Leadership graduates and the greater Wellness Culture that is being created.

This workshop is not a review of the original program; rather, content is determined through pre-session interviews, and these tools are re-discovered in a way that allows participants to immediately apply them in areas of greatest need, therefore generating the quickest and greatest results.
